From Baseball to Bridge

A year and a half ago, after finishing a memoir that a major league baseball historian persuaded me to write, I rediscovered bridge. Now almost every day, my regular partner, Laura Pantano — not coincidentally also a new Regional Master — and I play an ACBL sanctioned game on BBO. Though the BBO game is not as sociable as club bridge, I prefer its form — no need to fumble and sort those cards and no revokes which cause embarrassment. So I’ve been recommending BBO to all my COVID-bound friends and relatives. It’s not your parents bridge anymore!
